Parent Mingle

Parent Mingle

Whether you’re expecting your first child or expanding your family, Parent Mingle is an Informational session that allows you the space to connect, learn, and feel empowered on your journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Hosted by the National Black Doulas Association (NBDA), this event is designed to help parents understand the vital role doulas play in supporting families — physically, emotionally, and mentally. You'll walk away with practical tools and insight to make informed decisions about your birth experience and postpartum care.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What a doula is and how they support birth and postpartum

  • Key qualities to look for when choosing a doula

  • Questions to ask during your doula search

  • How doula care can be covered by insurance, including Medicaid in some states

  • How to find doulas through NBDA’s national directory

Why Attend:
Because your journey into parenthood deserves to be soft, supported, and sacred. This is more than a meet-up — it’s a resource-rich conversation to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to build your dream support team.

Who Should Attend:
Expectant parents, new parents, partners, support persons, and anyone interested in learning more about holistic birth support.
